Hi, Hello! My name is Xia and I create fun, unique, crazy earrings.
I’m a self-taught polymer clay artist who just loves creating and sharing.
For a long time, I didn't know how much I loved the process of being creative until I stumbled upon Polymer Clay.
For most of my life I've been known as a 'maverick', but I'm not ashamed of that. :)
Back to 2019, I moved to Germany.
After moving to Germany, I was trying to start a new life after studying German. But the pandemic caused me to lose my direction in life. I needed a new focus, and polymer clay was the answer. During those days, I tried many things before making earrings. My goal was to make ceramics in the beginning, but after experimenting with polymer clay, I was hooked.
I was never a girly girl and never thought I would ever be interested in making earrings. At first, I thought clay could only make cute stuff. But then, after a long time of trial and error, I've found my own style. I hope they can make you feel unique, elegant, cool, cute, sexy, bossy, weird, free, gorgeous, scruffy, or whatever you want to be. We are all born free.

My life is all about travelling.
From China to South Korea, then Germany, and now voila! here I am in France!
“Barbotine”is a French word for ceramic slip, or a mixture of clay and water used for moulding or decorating pottery.
When I was making ceramic, it took me such a long time to understand what ‘barbotine’ meant, and later, this became the name of my brand.
